Here’s a killer example of why the Sire V5 series has developed such a huge following among bass players. This 2022 Sire Marcus Miller V5 4-String in Natural delivers vintage-inspired Jazz Bass tone and feel with modern playability upgrades that honestly punch way above its price range.
Finished in a gorgeous Natural gloss over an alder body, this bass has that classic understated look that works equally well on stage, in the studio, or hanging on the wall. The roasted maple neck feels incredibly smooth and broken-in, with rolled fingerboard edges that make it ridiculously comfortable to play for long sessions. The passive Marcus Vintage J-style pickups deliver everything you’d want from a great J Bass, tight lows, punchy mids, articulate highs, and plenty of growl when you dig in.
This one is in excellent condition and has clearly been well cared for. Very clean overall with only light signs of use consistent with a carefully played instrument. Frets are in great shape, electronics work perfectly, and the bass plays beautifully up and down the neck with a comfortable low action.
Specs include a 34” scale length, alder body, roasted maple neck, 20 frets, passive electronics, and the Marcus Vintage-J Revolution pickup set. Weight is nicely balanced and comfortable whether you’re rehearsing, recording, or gigging all night.
