Nocturne BS-301 Mystery Brain Vintage Japanese Preamp/Digital Tape Echo
If you think of the Mystery Brain as a Roland Space Echo RE-301 with the tape echo in emulation, you wouldn't be far off.
Designer Tavo Vega intends this pedal to be the total solution for the guitarist looking for the classic one-two punch of rockabilly revival king Brian Setzer's tone: the left hook is the analog pre-amp section duplicating the RE-301's, and the right cross is the digitally emulated tape echo with modulation.
