This is a seriously special PRS Custom 24 Wood Library Piezo, and a wonderful example of exactly why PRS has such a formidable reputation for build quality, fit and finish.

Finished in a stunning Dragon Eye Burst, the flame maple top is absolutely spectacular, with the figuring coming alive as the light moves across it. This is a guitar that looks exceptional from every angle.

At just 8.14lb, it is also remarkably comfortable for such a feature-packed instrument.

As you would expect from a top-specification Custom 24 Piezo, the specification is designed around maximum versatility. PRS's Custom 24 Piezo combines the familiar PRS electric voice with an LR Baggs/PRS Piezo system, allowing the player to access electric, acoustic-style and blended tones from a single instrument. The system can be used through separate outputs or blended through a single output, making this an exceptionally useful studio, stage and writing-room guitar.

The PRS factory specification includes a figured maple top over a mahogany back, 24-fret mahogany neck, 25" scale length, rosewood fingerboard with PRS Birds, Pattern Thin neck carve, 10" radius, PRS Gen III Piezo tremolo and Phase III locking tuners. The 2025 specification uses PRS DMO treble and bass pickups, with the LR Baggs/PRS Piezo system providing the additional acoustic voice and blend capability.

And this particular example really illustrates the old PRS philosophy of building an instrument to a specification rather than a price.

The quality is immediately apparent. The carving, binding, fretwork, neck joint, finish and hardware all have that level of precision you expect from a serious PRS Wood Library instrument. Everything feels considered, beautifully executed and properly finished.

This guitar has had just a few hours of use and remains in exceptional condition. There are a very small number of light marks, but you really have to look hard to find them. Otherwise, it presents beautifully.

It has also been fully workshop inspected and given a perfect professional setup, so it is ready to go straight into the studio, onto the stage or simply into the collection.
