Tone & Performance
The C-30 is deservedly regarded as one of the great boutique guitar amplifiers, offering an extraordinarily rich and expressive tonal palette.
Delivers beautifully open, articulate tones, with plenty of sparkle, chime and harmonic detail. The response is wonderfully dynamic, cleaning up effortlessly with the guitar's volume control while retaining superb clarity and note definition.
As the amplifier is driven harder, the EL84 output stage produces that unmistakable Matchless character: harmonically rich, touch-sensitive overdrive with a wonderful combination of compression, sustain and articulation. Chords remain beautifully defined, while single notes have an almost three-dimensional quality.
A perfect pedal platform and companion for your cool guitars!
Matching Matchless ESD 2x12 Cabinet
Completing the package is the matching Burgundy and Cream Matchless ESD 2x12 speaker cabinet.
The ESD cabinet is an integral part of the Matchless sound, designed to complement the C-30 with a beautifully balanced combination of midrange presence, low-end response and detailed top-end articulation.
Together, the head and cabinet deliver an exceptionally full, immediate and responsive sound, with plenty of projection and the ability to retain clarity even when pushed.
A genuinely special and increasingly difficult-to-find Matchless combination. The rare custom Burgundy and Cream finish, matching ESD cabinet and excellent overall condition make this a particularly desirable example.
An outstanding amplifier rig for the discerning player, professional musician or Matchless enthusiast.
Both units have slip covers included.
