A seriously capable and wonderfully versatile amplifier, the Laney IRT60H Ironheart is a 60-Watt valve head designed with modern high-gain players firmly in mind. Combining British amplifier heritage with a more contemporary approach to gain, flexibility and tonal shaping, the Ironheart delivers everything from articulate cleans and gritty crunch through to the saturated, aggressive high-gain tones that have made this series such a popular choice among rock and metal players.

This particular example is in Excellent condition and presents beautifully, making it a great opportunity to pick up a powerful and highly adaptable valve head. The Ironheart's distinctive styling gives it plenty of stage presence, while its practical feature set makes it equally at home in the rehearsal room, recording studio or live environment.

At the heart of the IRT60H is its all-valve preamp and power amp design, delivering 60 Watts of output with the punch, dynamics and responsiveness that make a proper valve amplifier so rewarding to play. The three-channel format provides Clean, Rhythm and Lead sounds, allowing you to move between sparkling cleans, classic crunch and seriously saturated distortion without having to compromise on your core tone. The Lead channel offers plenty of gain for modern high-gain applications, while the Rhythm channel provides a more flexible platform for everything from bluesy overdrive to heavier rock tones.

One of the Ironheart's real strengths is its extensive tonal control. The familiar Bass, Middle and Treble controls are complemented by Laney's additional tonal-shaping features, allowing you to fine-tune the response to suit your guitar, cabinet and playing style. The built-in dynamics control also helps tailor the feel of the amplifier, while the onboard digital reverb adds a useful sense of space without requiring additional pedals. With its effects loop and footswitchable channel options, the IRT60H is well equipped for players who need a flexible, gig-ready setup.

Despite its modern high-gain credentials, this is far from a one-trick pony. The Ironheart responds well to changes in playing dynamics and guitar volume, making it possible to explore a surprisingly broad range of tones from a single amplifier. Whether you're looking for tight, articulate riffing, fluid lead tones or a more traditional overdriven sound, there's plenty of scope to find your own voice.
