Gibson SJ-100 2008 Antique Natural

This is a mighty Gibson SJ-100 Antique natural finish, manufactured in the Gibson Bozman Montana factory in 2008, a classic "Gibson Southern Jumbo" that first went on sale in the early 1940s

The Solid Sitka spruce top has aged nicely with a lovely amber hue, Solid bubinga back and sides,

These have a very nice specification, A Mahogany neck which, is nice and smooth on the back, and free of any dings, an Indian rosewood fretboard which is excellent and an attractive mustache bridge, Well executed top and back binding,

It has a round neck profile, 12” radius, 25-1/2" scale, and with a 1.725" nut width, Very comfortable and effortless to play. This example has a very nice playing action and the tone has opened up over the years and does not disappoint, this is a great-sounding Jumbo.

The condition is excellent for the year with just a few light marks and dings, and a very small chip is visible on the back of the "open book" headstock. There is plenty of life left in the frets,

We have given it a full workshop setup and fret polish, everything has been checked and it is ready for a new home,
