PRODUCT DETAILS
Fender’s Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster, born out of a close collaboration between Clapton
and the Fender Custom Shop, pays homage to one of the most iconic sounds in modern music.
This particular example, produced in 2010, is in excellent condition—remarkable for its age. it shows only the lightest handling marks and a few minor dings and surface marks, with virtually no fret wear. The neck has settled beautifully, offering a smooth, played-in feel without compromise to its integrity. The Maple neck itself has a very distinct flame figuring and is a particularly nice example Setup is dialed in to perfection, making it stage- or studio-ready straight from the case. Â
Crafted with the meticulous precision of the Custom Shop, this 2010 reissue in Midnight Blue captures the essence of “Slowhand’s” legendary tone and feel. Designed to meet Clapton’s exacting standards, it features a soft “V” maple neck, a select alder body, Vintage Noiseless single-coil pickups, and the signature active mid-boost circuit (25dB) paired with a TBX tone control—allowing players to effortlessly shift from glassy Strat sparkle to searing, violin-like sustain with a simple twist of the knob. The blocked vintage-style synchronized tremolo, another Clapton preference, ensures rock-solid tuning stability and sustain, while the nitrocellulose lacquer finish allows the wood to breathe and age gracefully.
Built as both a player’s workhorse and a collector’s prize, this model embodies Fender Custom Shop artistry at its finest.
Tonally, it delivers everything one expects from an Eric Clapton Stratocaster: shimmering cleans, punchy bell-like single-coil tones, and the signature mid-boosted voice that can rival a humbucker’s girth for solos. As the years roll on, this instrument will only continue to open up, its resonance and character deepening further with time.
Offered with its original Tweed Fender hard shell case, all factory paperwork, and the official Certificate of Authenticity, this guitar is both a serious player’s tool and a collector’s investment piece.
