Eastman John Pisano Signature Archtop Early Production Model 2008 - Sunburst

This is a very early example of the Eastman John Pisano Signature archtop, finished in classic Sunburst. Manufactured in 2008.

The serial number is UK008, making this one of the earliest examples produced. The wood set selected by Eastman is absolutely stunning, with beautifully figured flame maple on the back and sides that is truly striking.

Built to Eastman’s high factory specification, the John Pisano model features a carved spruce top paired with solid flamed maple back and sides, a maple neck and an ebony fingerboard. Every component is of excellent quality, including the specially voiced Kent Armstrong humbucker, designed to deliver a warm, clear archtop tone preferd by John Pisano.

The craftsmanship on these early instruments is exceptional. Details such as the beautifully shaped wooden pickguard with its carefully finished edge binding, the elegant Art Deco inspired headstock design, and the high-quality fittings all give the guitar a refined and classic appearance.

Tonally, the Pisano model offers the warm, rounded voice that players expect from a fine carved archtop. The carved spruce top provides excellent projection and natural acoustic resonance, while the Kent Armstrong pickup delivers a smooth, articulate amplified sound with plenty of clarity and depth. The neck position produces rich, warm jazz tones with excellent note separation, making it ideal for traditional jazz, chord melody and clean, expressive playing.
