Natural Satin 1978 Gibson Marauder with Maple Fretboard in Excellent Condition!
Here’s a beautiful survivor from the late ‘70s a 1978 Gibson Marauder in Natural Satin with a maple fretboard that just oozes vibe. This one’s all original, right down to the last screw, and it’s in excellent condition no breaks, no mods, no repairs.
The finish has aged perfectly that mellowed-out natural look that only late-’70s Gibson nitro can pull off. The maple neck feels smooth and fast, with a comfortable medium C profile that plays great all the way up. Frets are clean with plenty of life left, and the action is nice and low.
Electronics are untouched and working flawlessly original Bill Lawrence–designed pickups (Super Humbucker in the bridge and single coil in the neck) deliver a surprisingly wide tonal range. From jangly, almost Tele-like cleans to full, snarling Gibson crunch, this Marauder covers a ton of ground.
Hardware shows just a touch of natural aging, nothing excessive all original tuners, bridge, and knobs still shining and solid.
And yes it comes in its original Gibson “chainsaw” protector case, which is as cool and collectible as the guitar itself. Latches and handle are intact, interior is clean, and it fits this Marauder like a glove.
If you’ve been looking for a clean, unmolested example of a late-’70s Gibson that stands out from the usual crowd this is your ticket. Super fun to play, tough to find in this condition, and 100% ready to go.
