2000 DeArmond by Guild M-75 – Tyrian Purple – Excellent Condition
Up for sale is a seriously cool 2000 DeArmond by Guild M-75, finished in the striking and increasingly sought-after Tyrian Purple. These M-75s have earned a cult following for good reason classic single-cut styling, excellent build quality, and huge tone and this example is a particularly clean one.
This guitar is in Excellent condition, showing only light signs of careful use. The finish presents beautifully, with that deep Tyrian Purple really popping under the light. There are no issues affecting playability or structural integrity, and it’s clearly been well looked after over the years.
Tonally, this M-75 absolutely delivers. It’s fitted with the highly regarded USA-made DeArmond pickups, known for their clarity, punch, and rich midrange character. They sit somewhere between vintage P-90 growl and classic humbucker fullness, making this guitar incredibly versatile equally at home with clean, articulate tones or driven rock and indie sounds.
The neck feels comfortable and familiar, with a solid, confidence-inspiring feel in the hands. Frets are in great shape, the guitar plays cleanly across the board, and it has that unmistakable DeArmond/Guild vibe that sets these apart from more common single-cut designs.
The original control knobs have been changed by a previous owner. The replacements suit the guitar well, but please note that the original knobs are not included.
Overall, A beautifully kept 2000 DeArmond by Guild M-75 in Tyrian Purple, featuring USA DeArmond pickups, excellent playability, and standout looks. A fantastic alternative to more mainstream single-cut guitars, with loads of character and tone to spare—and increasingly hard to find in this condition and finish.
