This is an early 1940s Regal "Cowboy Guitar" Buck Jones and Silver his loyal steed.
Sold in the Montgomery Ward catalog, and one of the most attractive Cowboy models made.
Our example is in very good condition, the graphic is painted on a brown sunburst.
The top is Spruce and the back and sides are Maple. It has had a crack in the back of the guitar repaired in the past and this is stable.
Original canister machine heads, it plays well with its chunky V profile neck.
Nickle-plated Lyre-shaped tailpiece, bone nut, and Ebonized fingerboard.
It is 36" long, the lower bout is 12" a fantastic vintage acoustic!
Buck Jones, "daring all for honor and love", was the original Sundown rider!
