PRODUCT DETAILS
This is a very attractive Hofner Committee Brunette manufactured around 1959.
A very nice example. These were very high specification instruments with a carved Spruce top and incredible quilt Maple back and sides. 17 1/2" body delivers a rich acoustic tone, single-coil adjustable pickups, and an ornate Lyre tailpiece. Lots of beautiful details make this "Committee designed" Hofner a true vintage masterpiece. Just look at that headstock, it's magnificent.
With a perfect setup by our very own Glyn Withers. This is a very playable instrument and not just a show queen!
Electronics tested and functioning correctly. It looks like the floating bridge has been replaced with a period reproduction version and the clear scratchplate is missing. The frets are perfect and professionally dressed, possibly too good to be the originals as they look like new. Otherwise, this is a very clean and original example.
Sold with the original case, the handle is broken but it functions as it should.
