This is an exceptionally rare natural blonde finish Gibson Tal Farlow model manufactured in 1996 and featuring the most beautiful hand selected figured Maple, our photos do not do this fin guitar justice, it is absolutely stunning! Gibson only uses the very best woods for their natural archtops, which is why they build so few of them.

The natural finish on this Tal Farlow model has a slight Amber hue and it has aged magnificently. The condition is excellent for a 27-year-old guitar.

With very few signs of use, it is a cared-for and perfectly set-up instrument. No chips or dings, the frets are very good with plenty of life, the back of the neck smooth and with the most perfect flame figuring. We understand that this was a NAMM show guitar, and what a show-stopper this must have been in 1996.

Archtop construction ES-350 style with a 17" wide 3" deep body (slightly thinner than a 350) It features a Wood insert Trapeze type tailpiece "Tal Farlow" engraved on its central plaque, Like the originals, and it has all Nickle hardware rather than chrome, It is fitted with the favored flat wound strings.

The original factory-fitted Grovers are in perfect working order. Two Gibson classic humbuckers and reflector control knobs take care of the electronics.

A fantastic investment and a real players instrument for the guitarist looking for a premium Gibson archtop that is no longer in production.
