Gibson SG Standard 1965 - Pelham Blue Re-Finish

This is a 1965 Gibson SG Standard which was originally Pelham Blue, re-finished in the early 1970s in Black, and it was then re-finished in Pelham Blue!

An exceptional guitar, with no breaks or repairs, This guitar features a phenomenal-sounding pair of original patent sticker humbucking pickups.

Original electronics including the "Patent" humbuckers with chrome covers (Neck reads 7.78k and the bridge 7.10k) All of the pots date 1965 Jack socket and selector switch. It has the correct double-ring Kluson machine heads.

It has been "stop-tailed" and has a chrome ABR-1 Tun-o-matic bridge. The frets are very good nicely polished and crowned, with plenty of meat on the bone.

It is an absolute joy to play with its super slinky neck and 40mm top nut. It is both fast and fluid, every customer that has tried it here since it came to us has been blown away by the playability of this guitar.

Sold with its original case which is a bit tatty but functional.
