Gibson Les Paul Junior Vintage Tobacco Burst 2019

The Gibson Les Paul Junior is one of those beautifully straightforward guitars that has remained a firm favourite for decades, and this 2019 example in Vintage Tobacco Burst has aged beautifully. With its classic single-pickup, wraparound-bridge formula and wonderfully direct character, it’s a guitar that delivers plenty of attitude without unnecessary complication.

This particular Junior is in Very Good condition and has developed some lovely natural character over the years, including gorgeous lacquer checking across the finish and the expected collection of small dings and marks around the body. There is also some corrosion to the tailpiece, all of which adds to the well-loved, played-in appearance of the instrument without detracting from its overall appeal.

A few tasteful changes have been made with a vintage-inspired approach in mind. The original knobs have been replaced with vintage-style examples to give the guitar a more period-correct look and feel, although the original knobs are included. The tuners have also been upgraded to vintage-style Kluson Deluxe units; these are currently fitted to the guitar, while the original tuners are not included. A larger capacitor has been installed as well, intended to inject a little extra vintage-sounding mojo into the guitar, and Schaller-style strap buttons are currently fitted.

As with every new arrival that enters our store, this Les Paul Junior has passed through the trusted hands of our on-site workshop team, where it has been thoroughly inspected, professionally set up, and prepared to ensure it is in tip-top shape for its new home and owner.

The guitar comes complete with its original Gibson hard case and case candy, along with the original knobs. A fantastic example of a modern Les Paul Junior that has already begun to develop some wonderfully vintage-inspired character, with a handful of tasteful modifications that complement rather than overshadow the simple charm of the original design.
