Our example is in excellent condition. As it was part of a very large collection, it has seen very little use.

Aside from some very light swirls on the back, it is virtually unmarked and a credit to its previous owner.

Sold with all paperwork, certificate of authenticity, and original Gibson Lifton re-issue hard shell case.

It is a very attractive instrument and the Maple top displays some very nice flame.

It plays like a dream, we have given it a full workshop setup and it wants for nothing. A superb example of a Custom Shop 59.

The 24 ¾-inch scale length neck is made from one solid piece of mahogany and attached to the body using a long neck tenon which was one of Les Paul's more distinguishing characteristics of the 1950s.

They use hand-selected select-tone woods, the correct dyes, and hardware to get as close to the "holy grail" of guitars as possible.

This guitar weighs just 8.82 Lb

The neck is topped by a 22-fret nice dark rosewood fingerboard outfitted with acrylic trapezoid inlays matching the size and color of the originals.

Other historical appointments include CTS potentiometers, Bumble Bee capacitors, rolled crème-colored fingerboard binding, single-ply crème binding around the body, and period-correct switch washer and jack plate.
