PRODUCT DETAILS
This is a 2023 Fender American Vintage II ’61 Stratocaster in Fiesta Red, and it delivers all the classic early-’60s Strat vibe you’d expect, without the guesswork of an actual vintage piece. The finish has that unmistakable look, bold without being loud, with just the right amount of vintage appeal that makes a Strat feel like a Strat before you even plug it in.
Condition-wise, this one sits comfortably in the excellent category. It’s been played, but clearly respected. The only real cosmetic callouts are down on the lower edge of the body, where you’ll find a handful of small dings and one more noticeable mark. Nothing structural, nothing that affects playability, just honest wear in a spot that tends to pick it up anyway. There’s also a small crack in the pickguard near one of the mounting screws. It’s stable and purely cosmetic, but worth mentioning for the sake of accuracy.
Everything else presents beautifully. The finish still pops, the hardware is clean, and the overall look is exactly what you want from a lightly used modern vintage reissue. It hasn’t been knocked around or abused, just used enough to take the edge off that brand-new feel.
As for the experience, it’s all there. The neck has that comfortable early-’60s profile that sits just right in the hand, not too slim, not too chunky. The pickups deliver that unmistakable Strat character, glassy highs, scooped mids, and a low end that stays tight and musical. Whether you’re after clean articulation or pushing into something a bit grittier, it responds the way a good Strat should.
Frets are in great shape with minimal wear, and the guitar plays cleanly up and down the board. Setup feels dialled in, and there are no functional issues to report. It’s ready to go the moment it lands.
It comes complete with the original Fender hard case along with all the case candy, keeping things correct and intact for anyone who values the full package.
All in, this is a sharp example of a sought-after reissue Strat that’s already gotten its first few honest marks out of the way. If you want the look, feel, and tone of a ’61 without the vintage price tag, or the anxiety, this one makes a lot of sense.
As is standard practice with any new arrival in store, this very cool reissue Strat has been through the trusted hands of our team in our onsite workshop to ensure it is in tip-top shape for its new home and owner!
