Very cool 2008 Dr. Z MAZ 18 Junior NR 18-Watt 1x12" Combo in Excellent Condition!
Here’s a beautifully kept 2008 Dr. Z MAZ 18 Junior NR 1x12” combo, loaded with a Celestion G12H 70th Anniversary (30W, 8Ω) speaker, a killer pairing that takes this already legendary amp into another tonal league. This is the non-reverb version (NR), known for its tighter low end, quicker response, and touch-sensitive dynamics that really reward good playing.
The MAZ 18 Jr. has long been one of Dr. Z’s most beloved designs, and for good reason. At 18 watts, it's the sweet spot for club gigs, rehearsals, or home recording. It brings EL84 chime and crunch with just the right balance of headroom and break-up. Think: all the harmonic complexity of a vintage AC-style circuit, but with tighter low end and better overall clarity.
This particular amp is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear. Tolex is clean, grill cloth is tight, and the chassis is rock-solid. The Celestion G12H is a fantastic upgrade. More low-end authority and vintage British flavor than the stock speaker, while still letting the amp’s natural character shine.
Includes a padded slip cover to keep it safe between sessions and gigs.
