Natural 2002 David Freshwater Mandolin Left Hand in Excellent Condition!
A beautifully crafted, handmade instrument from one of the UK’s most respected acoustic luthiers. Built by hand in Scotland, Freshwater instruments are renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship, rich tonal character, and musical responsiveness, making this a truly special piece for any serious player.
This example is in Excellent condition, showing only light signs of careful use. The natural finish presents beautifully, the woodwork is clean and well preserved, and it has clearly been very well looked after. There are no issues affecting playability or structure, and it plays smoothly and comfortably throughout.
Tonally, this octave mandolin offers a deep, warm, and resonant voice, with rich low end, clear mids, and a sweet, open top end. It has excellent projection and sustain, making it ideal for folk, Celtic, traditional, and acoustic ensemble playing. The extended scale length gives it that unmistakable octave mandolin depth, while still retaining clarity and definition in melodic lines.
