This is a 1982 first-edition Fugi Gen factory Made in Japan Ibanez JP20 Joe Pass. These were built by Ibanez to his exact specification and also signed by Joe on the inner label visible through the F hole.
Super rare to find one in this excellent condition, with very few signs of use and minimal fret wear. The setup is also excellent.
If you can even find one, few have survived as well as this example that we got from a large collection. Just a very few light insignificant dings and signs of light careful use.
The build quality of these instruments is magnificent, they really cared about what they crafted in those days.
It has a Semour Duncan single pickup, and a Buble Bee capacitor the control knobs have been replaced with quality Ebony ones. The originals are also sold with the guitar.
