PRODUCT DETAILS
Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman 1965
This is a very nice 1965 Gretsch G6122 in Mahogany stain. Some interesting Maple figuring is evident and this is a very nice playable example. The Filter Tron pickups read 4.13k neck and 4.10k bridge. This guitar sounds great!
The frets and fingerboard are also in excellent shape. The machine heads have a very smooth action and work well. The pot dates read 1965.
There is also a signature that reads"Jimmy Atkins" inside the instrument dated 1970 which is very interesting.
There is evidence of old overspray on the back of the neck. Some edge binding has perished which is very common on these vintage Gretsch guitars.
Sold with a modern Gretsch hardshell case.
