This is a Peerless Retromatic Prototype Pre-Production Model B2 Archtop Bass finished in Surf Green.
Developed with producer, songwriter, and session guitarist Sean Genockey. He then fitted it with hand-wound one-of-a-kind Monty's pickups. Monty's workshop also undertook a re-fret and setup, before Sean used it on many gigs and recordings.
This bass guitar is in excellent overall condition with just a few light playing marks and signs of use. The setup of this guitar is great and it's really nice to play.
This is a very interesting and high specification instrument. The scale is 34" and it measures 43mm at the top nut. Mahogany C shape neck with a Rosewood fingerboard and a low heel profile.
The archtop single F-Hole body incorporates a center block. The electronics include a 3-way pickup selector and a Varitone giving the player a huge range of tones and options.
Peerless branded guitars are sadly no longer in production from what we understand at this time. This guitar is an interesting development guitar from a respected guitar builder and musician.
