PRODUCT DETAILS
This is a 1980s Vox "Custom Bass" manufactured in Japan by the Matsumoku factory famed for its superb build quality.
The pictures tell the story, with amazing specifications on this series of instruments. They were expensive compared to many instruments back in the 1980s and a rare find today. Apparently, the electronics were designed by Adrian Legg, and only top draw components were used.
The through-neck design is perfectly executed, the strings are also through the body and the saddles and top nut are solid Brass. It is a long-scale instrument. The top nut measures 44mm and the neck is slim and easy to play.
Some very minor chips and dings, but all in keeping with its age and occasional use. No discernable fret wear and good for many years of service to one lucky bass player in the future
We have put it through our workshop for a full setup and fresh strings and its now ready for a new home.
It is being sold with a high-quality Peavey branded ABS-style hardshell case.
We are an appointment-only, store. All instruments are handled by Motomusic employees only.
We are always happy to consider quality part exchange instruments here.
