A beautifully made late ‘90s Japanese-built acoustic with the kind of balance, playability, and reliability Takamine built its reputation on, this 1999 FD360SC delivers a refined, stage-ready voice with plenty of warmth and clarity. It’s a dreadnought cutaway design, giving you that full-bodied acoustic presence with easy access to the upper frets when you need it.
Tonally, it offers a well-rounded response with a clear, articulate top end, focused mids, and a low end that stays controlled without getting boomy. It’s equally at home under a light touch or a more aggressive strum, with a natural, balanced character that records well and sits perfectly in a mix.
The feel is where this one really stands out. It has that smooth, broken-in Japanese build quality with a comfortable neck and a low, easy playing action that makes it effortless to get around the fretboard. It’s the kind of guitar you can pick up and immediately feel at home on.
