Up for sale is an exceptional 1990s Pedulla Thunder Bolt 6-String Fretless, finished in a stunning Natural gloss that beautifully highlights the boutique craftsmanship Pedulla basses are renowned for. With Mike Pedulla now retired and production ceased, instruments like this are no longer being made, making this a rare opportunity to own a true piece of high-end American bass history.

This bass is in Near Mint condition, especially impressive for its age. There is one small ding on the back edge of the body, but aside from that it is genuinely spotless, with a clean, glossy finish and beautifully preserved hardware. It has recently been professionally set up and restrung with Thomastik flatwound strings, so it plays effortlessly and sounds absolutely superb right out of the case.

Construction is top-tier throughout, featuring a 3-piece maple neck, a 2-piece maple body, and a striking 2-piece AAA flame maple top with a matching flame maple headstock veneer. The rosewood fretboard is smooth and expressive, delivering that unmistakable fretless “mwah” with clarity and control. Weighing in at 9.67 lbs and built around a comfortable 33" scale length, it balances beautifully and feels fast and refined in the hands.

Electronics are classic Pedulla: custom-voiced Bartolini pickups paired with the TBT Tone Shaping preamp, offering an exceptionally musical and versatile tonal range. The signature “Thunder Guts” switch adds authoritative low-end punch when engaged, making this bass equally at home in jazz, fusion, progressive, R&B, or studio environments where nuance and articulation matter.
