Up for sale is a 2023 Mesa Boogie Rectifier 120-Watt 2x12" Speaker Cabinet in excellent condition, and it brings all the authority and low-end punch you’d expect from the Rectifier lineage in a more manageable, stage-friendly footprint. This is not a scaled-down compromise, it’s the same oversized, closed-back design philosophy that made the Recto 4x12 a benchmark, just tightened into a 2x12 format that still moves serious air.
Loaded with a pair of Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, this cab delivers that unmistakable midrange cut, tight low-end response, and aggressive upper presence that slots perfectly into a live mix. Whether you’re running high-gain saturation, percussive modern metal, or thick classic rock tones, it stays focused and articulate under pressure. Palm-muted riffs hit with weight and definition, while leads carry with clarity and sustain.
The oversized Baltic birch construction is a huge part of the story here. It adds depth and projection that you simply don’t get from standard 2x12 enclosures. There’s a fullness and resonance that feels closer to a 4x12 than you’d expect, without the back-breaking bulk. It’s a cabinet that rewards volume but still sounds composed at more controlled levels, making it equally at home on stage or in the studio.
Condition is excellent. It’s been well looked after, fully functional, and presents cleanly with minimal signs of use. The tolex, grille, and corners are all in great shape, and it includes the original Mesa Boogie slip cover, which keeps it protected when not in use or in transit.
