Sunburst 1982 Gibson Spirit II in Excellent Condition!
Up for grabs is a killer 1982 Gibson Spirit II in that classic Sunburst finish a true sleeper from the Norlin-era that’s finally getting the love it deserves.
This one’s all original from top to bottom original humbuckers, pots, knobs, tuners, bridge, tailpiece the whole deal. No breaks, no mods, no funny business. Just a clean, honest Spirit II that’s been well cared for over the last four decades.
The finish has that perfect lightly-aged look a bit of gentle checking and a subtle patina that gives it real vibe without any abuse. Frets are in fantastic shape with tons of life left. The neck is straight, action is low, and it plays beautifully up and down the board.
These Spirits were made in Gibson’s Nashville plant and share a lot of DNA with the early Les Paul Studio line mahogany body, carved maple top, and dual humbuckers that absolutely rip. The neck has that fast early-’80s Gibson feel comfortable medium profile, not too thin, not too chunky.
And yes it comes with the original Gibson “chainsaw” protector case, which is worth a chunk on its own these days. All latches work, handle is solid, and the interior still smells like the ‘80s (in a good way).
