Beautiful 2007 2-Pickup Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection '57 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty Reissue in Very Good Condition!

We've just taken in this gorgeous Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul that's had its own historical mark in rock history! Specifically, this is a stunning 2007 2-Pickup '57 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty Reissue from the Custom Shop's Historic Collection. This Black Beauty in particular was bought from new by Sean Genockey a rebound & very talented guitarist who is a dear friend to our store. Sean has played and recorded a number of albums in his career, but his journey with this Black Beauty, in particular, is something truly special as Sean & his beautiful Black Beauty featured on every track of Roger Daltrey's 2018 album 'As Long As I Have You'. Sean can also be seen using this very guitar on the Graham Norton Show performing alongside the legend himself!

While this very tasty 9.22lb Black Beauty does have an amazing story, there are a few areas that show this Les Paul has had a rock n roll background, Sean has replaced the original Gibson Pickups with some Monty's Humbuckers that are specifically wound for this very guitar! They measure 7.62 in the Bridge & 7.11 in the Neck (The original pickups are included in this sale) Cosmetically this Black Beauty does have the expected collection of light dings and scratches as well as some lacquer burn around the strap button and the bottom edge of the body typically where it has sat & reacted in a stand. These are simply cosmetic flaws that bear no effect on the guitar's function or playability. This is a beautiful Les Paul that is tried & tested and is more than worthy to hit the road once more or be a go-to studio instrument!

As is standard practice with any new arrival in store, this very cool Black Beauty has been through the trusted hands of our team in our onsite workshop to ensure it is in tip-top shape for its new home and owner!

Our 2007 2-Pickup Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection '57 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty Reissue comes with its original Gibson Custom Shop case (complete with 'RD' insignia), Original Pickups, COA, & a letter from Sean himself confirming the Les Paul's history.
