This beautiful G.D.L. Banjo features a Quartersawn Curly English Walnut neck with a Slender "D" Shape stained in a Brown Mahogany High Gloss Finish. This married to a AAA Grade Ebony Fingerboard with 22 Glued In Nickel Silver Frets, Bone Nut, Deering Planetary Tuners & Deering Gotoh Geared 5th String Tuner, & of course Intricate Inlays of Abalone and Pearl, with Hand Set Abalone Around Resonator and Down Side of Neck, with Triple Bound Peghead... the neck alone is its own work of art. not forgetting the optional 'Spikes' on the 7th, 9th, & 10th fret of the high G string.

Moving along to the body or 'Pot' this is a 3-Ply Violin Grade Maple construction with a Rim Diameter of 11", Deering -06- 20 Hole Bell Bronze Tone Ring, 11″ Top Frosted Medium Crown Head, Notched Brass Tension Hoop, 24 Round J-Hooks and 1/4" Hex Nuts, Deering One Piece Cast Zinc Flange, Deering True Tone Tailpiece, also with a Polyurethane hand finish. compliments the instrument nicely.

Now to the heart of the beast, The Resonator. This is a 3-Ply Maple with Burl Walnut Veneer construction with a 13 7/8" Diameter, Tapered Sidewalls, in the same High Gloss Finish...

These three components, married together, have created a gorgeous instrument that has been well cared for over the past 18 years. Aside from some very minor oxidization to some of its nickel-plated hardware, this is a pristine instrument that, as Deering have previously mentioned, would be an investment & beautiful addition to anyone's collection.
