This is a MIJ Yamaha RGZ Custom, HSS Archtop in Metallic Purple, We think that this example was manufactured in the late 1980s. This is a very pretty guitar, and would have been at the very top of the range back in the day.

It is in very good condition for the year, just a few light marks and minor dings. The frets are excellent. It a top specification model featuring Yamaha's H.I.P.S pickups in a HSS configuration. The electronics are interesting, being an active/passive system.

It has a locking trem system, but it is missing its trem arm. Lots of cool features like a recessed jack output and an old school LED indicator.
