PRODUCT DETAILS
This is a very rare Sefan Sobell Model 2 “Brazilian” crafted in 1992 and presented for sale in excellent condition.
There is a long wait for Stefan’s work and when you play one of his fine acoustics you can see why that is.
The beautifully figured back and sides are Brazilian. The fingerboard and bridge are Ebony. The top is a beautiful book-matched set of German Spruce.
The neck is Honduran Mahogany and it feels incredible to play. Very slim and with a 1.740” top nut.
The headstock overlay is Brazilian Rosewood. The nut and saddle are hand cut bone and the saddle is compensated bone.
The tuning machines are gold-plated Gotoh 510 sealed tuners. They function precisely and beautifully, as a top end machine heads should.
It also features his optional built-in Highlander Duo pickup and preamp with internal condenser mic. Ideal for stage or studio use.
The condition is excellent for the year with just a few small marks and dings from use. A “played” but cared for guitar. There is also plenty of life left in its nicely polished and crowned frets
The guitar has 14 frets clear of the body and a 25 1/2" scale length and a 1 3/4" nut width, making it comfortable for most players.
The lower bout is 16 1/4" wide, the upper bout is 11 5/8" wide, and the waist is 9 1/2". The body is 4 3/4” deep at the end block.

This is what the man says about his guitar designs:
“Along with choice of materials, the design of any instrument is fundamental to both its sound and appearance. I want a bass sound that’s deep but stays clear and doesn’t break up and become indistinct when played hard, and a treble that springs out with life and energy. All my designs and developments have been aimed at achieving this sound.
My instruments are not ornate; beauty is achieved by the use of handsome materials and harmonious design rather than heavy ornamentation"
