Ovation's bowl back design is well known for giving great sound projection so the sound on this Celebrity CC-74 is loud as well as articulate when played acoustically. The spruce top helps with this articulation and the soft "V" mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard gives great comfort for all round accuracy and playing ease. The tone and gain controls for the preamp are nice and easy to find on the waist with the jack input rather unusually located on the lower curve of the back bowl. A very interesting acoustic bass that would be wonderful for a bass player looking to play in a stripped back acoustic environment.
