Martin Road Series OMC-10E Special 2026 Natural

Fresh into the shop and set up by our workshop team, this brand new Martin OMC-10E Special (2026) is playing exactly as it should, with a comfortable, even action and clean intonation right across the board, ready to go straight out of the case.

Built in line with Martin’s 2016 Road Series specification, this Orchestra Model cutaway features an all-solid construction, with a Sitka spruce top and sapele back and sides. The combination offers a lightweight, responsive feel with a classic, understated satin finish throughout. The OMC body shape keeps things compact and comfortable, while the cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets.

The neck is carved to Martin’s Performing Artist profile with a high-performance taper, giving a smooth, modern playing experience that suits both fingerstyle and more technical work. It’s fitted with a Richlite fingerboard and bridge for durability and consistency, alongside a 25.4" scale length and 1 3/4" nut width, making it a familiar and versatile platform.

Internally, scalloped X-bracing helps the top resonate freely, enhancing projection and responsiveness without losing control. The smaller body size compared to a dreadnought brings a more focused and articulate voice, particularly suited to players who value clarity and balance.

Electronics are provided by the Fishman MX-T system, with a discreet soundhole-mounted tuner and simple controls. It’s a reliable, no-fuss setup that captures the guitar’s natural tone well, making it equally at home on stage or in the studio.

Tonally, the OMC-10E Special leans toward clarity and definition. The low end is tight and controlled, the midrange is open and detailed, and the treble response is crisp without becoming brittle. There’s a nice immediacy to the attack, making it particularly responsive to fingerstyle playing, while still holding together well under a light to moderate strum. Overall, it offers a balanced, articulate voice that records cleanly and sits well in a mix.
