Gretsch G6120W-1957 Chet Atkins Hollow Body 2009 Western Maple Stain

Yet another gorgeous Gretsch to add to our growing collection here at Motomusic.

This is our beautiful 2009 Gretsch G6120W-1957 in Western Maple Stain. This striking model draws inspiration from the famous 1957 Gretsch 6120 associated with Eddie Cochran and features the classic western aesthetic that has made these guitars so desirable among Gretsch players and collectors.

Built to vintage-style Gretsch factory specification, the G6120W-1957 reissue features a laminated maple hollow body with trestle bracing, maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with distinctive western-style inlays. It is equipped with a pair of Gretsch Filter’Tron humbuckers, a Bigsby B6 vibrato tailpiece, gold hardware, and the classic Gretsch control layout with master volume and tone switching. The Western Maple Stain finish beautifully highlights the grain of the maple and perfectly complements the ornate western appointments.

This 17-year-old Gretsch has arrived with us in excellent condition and has clearly been very well cared for by its previous owner. The gold hardware shows only very light wear as you would expect for a guitar of this age. There is some light fret wear, but there is plenty of life left in them and the guitar plays beautifully with an excellent setup. The rosewood fingerboard is also in superb shape.

The Bigsby tremolo fitted to these instruments is exceptionally smooth, very responsive, and a real joy to use.

As with all new arrivals here at Motomusic, this stunning G6120W-1957 has passed through the hands of our team in our onsite workshop to ensure it is in top condition and ready for its next owner.
