This is a 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom "Black Beauty" in very good condition for the year.
A rare pretty much all-original example of a late 70's Kalamazoo factory "Norlin era" Les Paul Custom with the exception of its Schaller strap buttons & gold speed knobs.
With its three original T-Top humbuckers and the original pots date 1979. The original "Gibson" branded machine heads function well.
Maple neck Ebony fingerboard with volute, The original frets show some wear as one would expect, but are perfectly playable and nicely polished.
The Ebony finished mahogany body is in good shape, obviously with numerous dings swirls and signs of wear, but all in keeping with its age. The Gold hardware also shows age-related wear but everything functions as it should.
This guitar playes well, we have given it a full workshop set up and sounds as it should with fantastic sustain and easy action, The neck pickup reads 7.52 ohms, and the bridge is 7.5 ohms, the middle position gives you 3.69 ohms. his
