A very fine 2024 Gibson Les Paul Custom finished in classic Ebony. Built in the Gibson Custom Shop tradition, this model delivers the unmistakable look, feel and authority that has made the Les Paul Custom a long-standing favourite with professional players.
This example is particularly nice to play, with an excellent, comfortable action and a very responsive feel across the neck. The frets show no wear and the guitar presents in very clean condition overall, with only minimal signs of use. There is a small chip to the finish on the back of the headstock, as mentioned for complete transparency, but this does not affect the instrument in any way. It has its original case, certificate of authenticity and original paperwork.
Construction follows the traditional Les Paul Custom formula, with a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body topped with a maple cap, contributing to the strong fundamental tone and impressive sustain these models are known for.
The neck is mahogany with an Ebony fingerboard, offering a fast, smooth playing surface with a crisp, articulate response.
Electronics are provided by Gibson’s 490R and 498T humbuckers, delivering a versatile tonal range. The neck pickup produces warm, rounded tones with excellent clarity, ideal for smooth lead lines and full, expressive rhythm work. The bridge pickup offers increased output and bite, providing strong midrange presence and tight low end that works equally well for classic rock crunch or more modern driven sounds. Together they create a balanced, dynamic voice with plenty of sustain and harmonic richness.
Hardware includes Grover Keystone machine heads for stable and accurate tuning, along with the high standard of components expected from a Gibson Custom instrument. The guitar is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer, allowing the wood to resonate freely while giving the instrument its deep gloss and traditional feel.
Overall this is a superbly built Les Paul Custom with excellent playability, classic looks and the powerful, sustaining tone that has defined this model for decades. A particularly clean and nice playing example of a 2024 Gibson Les Paul Custom.
