This is a 2023 Gibson ES-335 Dot in Sixties Cherry, offered for sale in mint condition. Part of a large private collection, the guitar has seen only a few hours of careful use and presents as close to new. It has received a full workshop inspection, benefits from an excellent professional setup and is an absolute pleasure to play.
The modern ES-335 remains one of Gibson's most versatile and enduring designs, featuring a three-ply maple/poplar/maple semi-hollow body with a solid maple centre block, a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. This 2023 model is fitted with a pair of Gibson Calibrated T-Type humbuckers, hand-wired controls and an ABR-1 bridge, faithfully capturing the character of the late-1950s and early-1960s originals.
Tonally, the ES-335 occupies a unique space between a solid body and a hollow body guitar.
