This is a 1919 Gibson "Style A" Mandolin. It good shape for the year.

A playable instrument with a punchy rich tone that will not disappoint. A tone that has matured wonderfully after 102 years of playing, you just don't get this sound from a modern instrument. This is why we like old things here at Motomusic. Original Sheraton Brown finish which is worn, but in a nice way.

The back has been off at some point, probably to repair a loose brace.

It has an old shaped case which is a perfect fit and looks the part but we don't think it's the original. The machine heads are very old but not original. The neck is lovely with a pronounced V profile.
