Fender TV Pro Amp Tweed 5A5 1951-2 "Huw Price" Restoration
This is a fully restored Fender 51' Tweed Pro Amp. This fantastic restoration was undertaken by Huw Price, the renowned Vintage guitar and amplifier expert, and contributor to both Guitar and Guitarist magazines. Full details of this amazing restoration can be viewed on his website.
It has a full "Re-Tweed" which has had the "Relic” treatment and has been modified to run on JJ6V6 tubes, a practical and more reliable alternative to the original 6L6s tubes that they came with.
It has also been re-baffed with a custom-made ply converter ring and has a modern Celestion "Gold Alnico" 12-inch driver fitted. Original Astron capacitors and original transformer. Original filter capacitors have been replaced with Sprague.
All its electronic components have been checked over and replaced if necessary to Huw's very high standards. This is now a reliable and usable vintage Fender Tweed amp.
A wonderful "players" vintage 1950s Tweed amp that really sounds as good as it looks and would be a joy to gig and record.
Its a 115v amp and will need to be used with a step transformer for use in the UK (Not supplied)
