PRODUCT DETAILS
This is a 1965 Fender Telecaster with a Rosewood fingerboard which has been expertly re-finished in Blonde by Paul Neild at "Retro 169"
This is an excellent "player-grade" guitar. Original body neck and pickups. The bridge pickup has been re-wound and reads 7.19k. The neck pickup is original and this reads 7.90k. The machine heads are the Kluson PAT D-169400s, with the exception of the bottom E machine head which has been replaced. The volume pot is an original 1965, the tone pot dates 1977.
The original 3-way selector is with the guitar but we are going to substitute it with a modern Fender item as it works intermittently in the middle position.
The body had been routed for a humbucker which has been returned to its previous single coil route by means of a very neat insert block. The pickguard is a modern repro along with the switch tip and string tree.
This guitar weighs 8.62 lb. The neck is a typical 60's slim C, and it measures 41mm at the top nut. It has been re-fretted in the past, the frets are excellent, and it is a real player with a great setup.
Sold with a quality generic hardshell case.
A really nice vintage Tele at an affordable price.
