This is a very rare and desirable 1989 Fender STR-70 HSS Stratocaster, built at the legendary FujiGen Gakki factory in Japan. Finished in classic Candy Apple Red, this guitar stands as a prime example of late-’80s Japanese Fender craftsmanship — an era now regarded as a golden age for quality and precision.

The guitar shows some small chips and dings consistent with age and honest playwear, but nothing unsightly. Overall, it’s in very good condition for its 36 years.

It features a comfortable medium “C” profile neck with a 9.5" radius fingerboard, offering a smooth, modern feel that balances speed and comfort. The jumbo frets are in excellent shape — nicely crowned and polished — making bends effortless and clean.

This STR-70 benefits from a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates bridge humbucker, adding a touch of vintage-voiced punch and warmth, perfectly complementing the crisp clarity of the Fender single coils. The USA Floyd Rose locking tremolo system operates flawlessly, holding tuning rock-solid through heavy play.
