2017 Fender American Special Telecaster, finished in the classy and increasingly sought-after Sherwood Green Metallic. Built in the USA and designed as a no-nonsense, player-focused Tele, the American Special series delivers classic Fender tone with a slightly hotter, more modern edge, all wrapped up in a timeless look.
This example is in Excellent condition, showing only light signs of careful use. The metallic finish presents beautifully, with plenty of depth and shimmer; the rosewood fretboard is dark and smooth, and the frets are in great shape. It’s clearly been well cared for and is ready to be played straight out of the case.
Tonally, this Telecaster offers plenty of that familiar snap, twang, and clarity, but with a bit more attitude on tap when pushed. It’s equally comfortable delivering sparkling cleans, gritty blues tones, or cutting rock sounds, making it a versatile workhorse for both stage and studio use. The rosewood fretboard adds a touch of warmth and smoothness to the overall response, balancing the classic Tele bite nicely.
