A superb early example of the Fender American Special Jazz Bass, this 2010 USA-built model is finished in the timeless Olympic White with a rosewood fingerboard. Combining classic Fender styling with modern playability, the American Special series was designed to deliver genuine USA craftsmanship at exceptional value, making it a favourite among working musicians and collectors alike.

Presented in excellent condition, this bass has clearly been well cared for throughout its life. There are only a few light cosmetic marks consistent with careful use, while the frets show virtually no discernible wear. Our workshop has carried out a full professional inspection and setup, ensuring it plays beautifully and is ready for its next owner.

This example has been tastefully fitted with vintage-style chrome bridge and pickup covers, giving the instrument an authentic 1960s-inspired aesthetic. They complement the Olympic White finish perfectly and can easily be removed should you prefer the cleaner modern look.

Tonally, the American Special Jazz Bass delivers everything that has made the Jazz Bass one of the most recorded bass guitars in history. Its pair of American Jazz Bass single-coil pickups provide exceptional clarity, punch and dynamic response. The neck pickup produces warm, rounded lows with plenty of body, while the bridge pickup adds articulation, growl and the unmistakable midrange bite that allows the instrument to sit perfectly in any mix. Blending both pickups together creates the classic Jazz Bass voice—tight, balanced and incredibly versatile, making it equally at home in rock, blues, funk, soul, pop and jazz.

The slim Modern "C" maple neck and 9.5" radius fingerboard offer a comfortable, familiar playing experience, while the lightweight alder body provides excellent balance whether standing or seated.
