2017 ESP LTD Phoenix-1000 Deluxe – Made in Korea
A top-tier example from ESP’s LTD line, this Phoenix-1000 Deluxe was built in 2017 in Korea and delivers the kind of fit, finish and performance that comfortably punches above its weight. A modern take on the classic reverse-body silhouette, it combines bold aesthetics with a refined, player-focused spec.
Factory spec for this model includes a set-neck construction with a mahogany body and three-piece mahogany neck, offering excellent sustain and a solid, resonant foundation. The ebony fingerboard features 22 extra-jumbo frets, a 24.75” scale length, and ESP’s Thin U neck profile—fast, comfortable, and well suited to both rhythm and lead work. Hardware is premium throughout, with LTD locking tuners and a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece for rock-solid tuning stability and intonation. A real players guitar!

Chords stay clear under saturation, and palm-muted passages have a percussive, controlled thump. The neck pickup is smooth and full, with a slightly compressed character that lends itself well to fluid lead lines and clean passages alike. Overall, it’s a balanced, high-output voice that cuts through a mix without becoming harsh.
Condition is excellent. The guitar has been well looked after, showing only light marks and signs of use consistent with a cared-for instrument. There’s no discernible fret wear, and it benefits from a very nice setup—low action, clean fretting, and an easy, responsive feel across the board.
