PRODUCT DETAILS

Epiphone Zephyr Regent 1953

This is a 1953 Epiphone Zephyr Regent archtop sunburst finish manufactured in 1953.
This guitar has had the original pickup replaced with an Attila Zoller pickup which is a great-sounding unit.

It is in good condition for the year. Plenty of lacquer checking, and some buckle rash on the back. Signs of some lacquer repairs in the past and the edge binding has lifted slightly and been repaired at the back of the Venetian cutaway, but this is structurally secure and stable (see photograph)

It's a nice instrument to play and is set up with flat-wound stings (12-50 gauge) There is evidence of some minor fret wear, but there is plenty of life left in them.

A fine-looking instrument from the blue "New York" label era of Epiphone guitars. The scale is 25 1/2" and the top nut width is 1 11/16"

These are made from arched birdseye maple back sides and top, with a rosewood fingerboard,

This a great guitar for the player looking for a quality vintage archtop!

Sold with a non-original good quality hard shell case.
