Buddy Blaze K2 Model Pacific Blue Metallic 2009

A seriously impressive and rather special Buddy Blaze K2 Custom, originally built for the 2009 NAMM Show and subsequently featured in American Premier Guitar magazine for review. This is a particularly interesting piece of Buddy Blaze history, and the original magazine article is included with the guitar, making it a great opportunity to own an instrument with a little extra provenance.

Buddy Blaze has long been associated with bold, individual designs, and his work has been hugely influential in the world of custom guitars. Often credited with helping inspire the iconic ‘Night Swan’ style, this original K2 Custom is a fantastic example of his distinctive approach to guitar building, combining striking looks with serious performance credentials.

At its heart is a USA-made, hand-wound DMT pickup designed by Buddy himself, fitted in the bridge position and delivering exceptional clarity, articulation and note definition, even at higher gain settings. The Alder body provides a balanced tonal foundation, while the Maple neck and Ebony fingerboard offer a fast, comfortable playing feel. The neck is finished with beautifully dressed medium-jumbo frets, and the top nut measures 1.635” (41.54mm).

Further appointments include Grover machine heads and a genuine Floyd Rose tremolo system, providing the tuning stability and expressive performance expected from a serious gigging instrument. As Buddy's own mantra goes, these guitars are built to be played, and this K2 Custom is certainly ready for the stage, studio or collection.

The guitar comes complete with its original Buddy Blaze hardshell case, along with a generous amount of accompanying paperwork and the original Premier Guitar magazine article documenting its appearance.
