1991 Fender American Standard Stratocaster β Sunburst, Rosewood Fingerboard
This is a particularly nice example of a 1991 Fender American Standard Stratocaster, finished in Sunburst and fitted with a Rosewood fingerboard. A great example of the American Standard Stratocasters produced during this period, with the build quality and feel that have made these early β90s Fenders increasingly sought after.
The guitar is in excellent condition for its age, with just a few minor marks and dings consistent with careful use over the years. We have given it a full workshop setup and it is now playing beautifully and ready for a new home.
The frets have been professionally polished and have plenty of life remaining. The playing action is excellent β comfortable, clean and very easy to play across the fingerboard.
The early American Standard Stratocasters have a particularly appealing combination of traditional Fender character and the more refined construction of the modern American Standard specification. This is a great period for Fender, and this example has the feel, resonance and overall quality you would hope to find from a well-preserved early-1990s American Strat.
Tonally, it delivers everything you would expect from a good Stratocaster: clear, articulate and expressive, with plenty of snap and definition from the bridge pickup, a warm and rounded neck position and that unmistakable in-between Strat character. It is equally at home with clean tones, edge-of-breakup sounds or pushed through an overdriven amp.
This guitar is supplied with its original shaped Fender "Red Label" case, along with a genuine 1990's Fender leather strap.
Please note: there is no tremolo arm included with the guitar.
A very nice, honest example of an early American Standard Stratocaster from a highly regarded period of Fender production.
