This is a Martin 000-28 Eric Clapton signature model, offered for sale in mint condition.

This guitar has had only a few hours of careful home use and therefore shows no signs of wear, with frets and finish entirely unmarked. The playing action is excellent, and the instrument has been fully inspected and set up in our workshop, ensuring it is ready to be played straight out of the case. It is supplied with the original Martin Deluxe hardshell case.

These guitars have been crafted at the Martin factory in Nazareth since 1996, This 000-28 Eric Clapton model follows the 2023 factory specification and represents one of Martin’s most refined 000-size acoustics. Features include an aged tinted Sitka spruce top with forward-shifted, scalloped X-bracing, solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, and a modified low oval mahogany neck with a 24.9" short scale for a relaxed, responsive playing feel. Appointments include ebony fingerboard and bridge, herringbone top trim, vintage-style open-gear "butterbean" tuners, and a comfortable 1 3/4" nut width well suited to fingerstyle players.

Tonally, this model delivers exceptional balance and clarity, with a warm, rounded low end, focused mids, and sweet, articulate trebles. The short scale and 000 body size give a fast response and excellent dynamic control, making it ideal for fingerstyle, blues, and expressive acoustic work, while still offering enough headroom for light strumming.

The Eric Clapton 000-28 has been in continuous production since 1996 and is widely regarded as one of Martin’s most musical and player-focused signature models. While it sits above a standard 000-28 in price, the upgraded tonewoods, refined voicing, and vintage-inspired details more than justify the difference.
