1996 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus in Heritage Cherry Sunburst in near-mint condition! One or two minor chips to the headstock but otherwise in perfect condition! Comes with an original Gibson Hardcase! 

With roots leading back as far as 1894! Orville Gibson began by selling his coveted single-piece mandolins out of his one-room workshop in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Orville Gibson later patented his design in 1898 following its popularity before founding Gibson Inc. in 1902. Following Orville Gibson's death in 1918, Gibson Inc hired designer Lloyd Loar who developed the design of the Gibson L-5 Archtop Guitar and the F-5 Mandolin which were both flagship models upon their release in 1922. In 1936 Gibson released the ES-150 being the company's first "Electro Spanish" model before the iconic ES-335 in 1958. Following the introduction of Gibson's new President Ted McCarty in 1948, Gibson revolutionized and changed the electric guitar to what we know it today with the introduction of the "Les Paul" an obvious signature model designed by the late, great Les Paul in 1952. A firm favorite and one of the most popular guitars still in production today after being briefly discontinued in the 60s.

The Standard Plus was a model variant between 1995 & 2001 that gave you a AA to AAA Flamed maple top with your choice to add the Les Paul's pickguard or not. Les Paul Standard's during this time came with a plan maple cap, This would have been a popular step up for many. As previously stated the Standard Plus came with a Les Paul pickguard with the owner's choice to install it or not. Fortunately, Our Standard Plus is practically untouched and has barely been played! It comes with its original inspection slip, adjustment tool, and Original Gibson case! Unfortunately, the combination lock latch has broken but is easily fixed.
