PRODUCT DETAILS
This is a 1953 Epiphone Zephyr Regent archtop sunburst finish.
This guitar has had the original pickup replaced with an Attila Zoller pickup which is a great-sounding unit.
It is in good condition for the year. Plenty of lacquer checking, and some buckle rash on the back. Signs of some lacquer repairs in the past and the edge binding has lifted slightly and been repaired at the back of the Venetian cutaway, but this is structurally secure and stable (see photograph)
We believe that it has also undergone a neck reset and a re-fret in the past which would explain its excellent playability.
It's a nice instrument to play and is set up with flat-wound stings (12-50 gauge)
A fine-looking instrument from the blue "New York" label era of Epiphone guitars.
The scale is 25 1/2" and the top nut width is 1 11/16"
These are made from arched birdseye maple back sides and top, with a rosewood fingerboard,
This a great guitar for the player looking for a player-grade quality vintage archtop!
Sold with a non-original good quality hard shell case.
